Communicating with short burst written communication, or text and chat messaging
Text and chat messaging has become a common form of communication, both mobile, or chat. It can be used to convey brief messages or have longer conversations with people. It only carries with it the written word and lacks nonverbal cues. The reader adds their own bias to fill in the tone of each message.
Ways to improve:
– Take your time
– Think before you text
– As awful as it sounds, use emojis as a substitute, not a replacement
– Don’t have important conversations over text
